University Entrance

Entrance to universities in South Africa and internationally Students who have completed the ACE course of study earn the School of Tomorrow Grade 12 College Entrance Certificate which is issued by the ACE Graduations Department. ACE provides a vital link between schools and South African Universities so as to assist in the process of registration.

Universities base their acceptance of students on previous results, SAT results or AARP scores, entrance test results and finally confirm admission to University once they have received the grade 12 College Entrance Certificate with exemption equivalence or the ICCE. ACE graduates make use of the Senates Discretionary Route for University acceptance. Please ensure that each student is guided to correct subject choices for their field of study.

The school principal / tertiary liaison representative acquires and completes the TSL form (this form can be downloaded from “Tertiary Liaison Form” link below). This form must be submitted to the Tertiary Liaison Officer at the ACE National Office three months before the cut-off date for admission. (IT MUST BE E-MAILED OR POSTED AS FAXED COPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.) A link will be created and a covering letter for the applicant will be prepared and sent to the school, host school or Home School Academy. The principal / tertiary liaison representative must ensure that copies of these link letters are attached to the students’ applications and sent to the correct people, as advised by the ACE National Office. Once the University has received the application, students will be contacted with regard to the entrance tests. After the entrance tests are completed and scored, the University will notify the students whether they have been accepted or not.

NB:

ACE National Office does not apply for admission to any institution for any student; it only establishes a link for an applicant in order to smooth the process of an application.

The University reserves the right to either accept or reject your students’ applications. .Parents of students in full schools and home educators need to work through their school / Home School Academy / Host School.
